ARTERIO SCLEROSIS

Arteriosclerosis

WHAT IS STEM CELLS?

[What are stem cells? ]

We all have the ability to regenerate and replenish lost cells in our bodies, like skin and blood, in order to maintain tissues that are short-lived and constantly replaced. have cells Cells with these abilities are called “stem cells”. To be called a stem cell, the following two abilities are essential. One is the various cells that make up our bodies, such as skin, red blood cells, and platelets. The ability to create (differentiation ability) and the ability to divide into cells with exactly the same ability as yourself (self-renewal ability).

Stem cells are divided into two types. One is stem cells, which continue to replace lost cells in certain tissues and organs, such as skin and blood. This type of stem cell is called a “tissue stem cell”. Tissue stem cells do not become anything, but their role is determined, for example, hematopoietic stem cells that create blood are cells of the blood system, and neural stem cells that create the nervous system are only cells of the nervous system. The other is "Pluripotent Stem Cells", like ES cells (Embryonic Stem Cells), which can produce any kind of cells in our body. In other words, pluripotent stem cells can also produce various tissue stem cells in our bodies.

iPS cells (induced pluripotent stem cells) are "pluripotent stem cells" artificially created from normal cells.

Research on a new treatment method called "regenerative medicine" that uses the properties of "stem cells" to treat injuries and illnesses using the cells themselves as medicine,

Research is progressing to examine the mechanism of disease by reproducing the state of cells in the body outside the body.

PREVENTION OF ARTERIO SCLEROSIS

Prevention of arteriosclerosis

Autologous adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cell therapy for prevention of progression of arteriosclerosis

1. Atherosclerosis is a vascular disease that can cause various serious complications such as coronary artery disease and myocardial infarction. People with high blood pressure, dyslipidemia, diabetes, obesity, and smokers are also at high risk of arteriosclerosis. It is especially common among middle-aged and older people. Despite many efforts from the medical community to manage atherosclerosis risk factors, arteriosclerosis remains one of the leading causes of death in the world's population.

2. Mesenchymal stem cells exert a homing effect, gather in damaged blood vessels, secrete cytokines, and suppress inflammation. In addition, it stimulates endothelial cells to promote repair. At the same time, it can suppress the abnormal proliferation of vascular wall cells and relieve stenosis of the vascular wall. By improving the environment of vascular endothelial cells by injecting mesenchymal stem cells, the progression of arteriosclerosis can be delayed and improved.

FLOW

Treatment flow

Our hospital is equipped with an environment that allows us to provide medical care to overseas patients.

In addition to Japanese, we are able to communicate with patients in Chinese, Vietnamese, English, French, and Mongolian.
The interpreters are staff members of the hospital who are capable of smooth communication with the attending physician even if they are of different nationalities.

1.Medical appointment

DSC01167 (1) (1)

After making an inquiry, the staff will schedule your visit. We will confirm and accept your reservation. We will notify you when the reservation is complete.

<For foreign nationals residing overseas>

Please apply through a porting agent.

Documents that show the current health condition (health checkup report within 3 months)

Please make a reservation together with your personal identification (ID card, passport, etc.) with a face photo.

2, counseling

After you fill out the questionnaire that we will give you, the doctor will explain the stem cell treatment. Based on the information you have provided, we will propose a treatment that is suitable for your current health condition.

3. Cell Harvest and Blood Collection

1. It takes about 10 minutes and uses local anesthesia.

2. After collecting cells with a diameter of about 5 mm from the skin behind the ear, blood will also be collected.

3. Sew using safe medical dissolvable thread.

4. After collecting the cells, the nurse will check the wound and give you medicine (painkillers, antibiotics).

*No need to remove stitches.

4、Payment

Our clinic is a free medical treatment.

Counseling is free of charge, but payment will be made at the time of cell collection.

Payment can be made by credit card (JCB not accepted), UnionPay, wechat pay, Alipay, Line Pay, and overseas transfer.

5. Cell culture

We will start culturing stem cells and exosomes in our own lab. The culture period is about 4 weeks.

Please refrain from changing or canceling the administration date as we will start cell culture in the best condition according to the customer's administration date.

Regenerative medicine clinic with in-hospital CPC

MV01

Currently, many regenerative medicine clinics obtain cultured cells by “outsourcing cell culture work” or “purchasing from outside”. However, at our hospital, we have set up an in-hospital CPC, and the collection, storage, culture, and testing are all performed in the same laboratory, and everything is centrally managed using barcodes. We also have GMP lab and ISO9001 certification.

Proprietary medium recipe

cpc_01

Medium is the most important factor in quality cell culture. At our hospital, we use “Helene Medium,” a proprietary medium for mesenchymal stem cells developed in our laboratory. Experimental results show that the growth curve and growth rate of the same medium are stable and several thousand times faster than commercial media, regardless of the presence or absence of serum [1] ISCT (the International Society for Cellular Therapy, [2] It is open to the public at overseas conferences such as the Cambridge International Stem Cell Symposium.

Third-party cell quality certification

Cell Quality Certificate_p1-01

We outsource tests similar to those performed by Takara Bio Co., Ltd., and provide cells to patients after conducting the same tests in our laboratory. As a result of verifying the quality of stem cells impartially provided to patients by a third-party inspection company, what we provide is proven to be genuine mesenchymal stem cells. Our cells are not infected by the culture process and do not become cancerous. It also has the differentiation ability unique to stem cells. These test certificates are also attached to the patient who is actually administered.

6. Dosing

Disinfection > Confirm the injection position > Prick the injection needle

Connect and secure conduit tubing

Treatment time: 40-60 minutes

In the case of infusion: Topically wipe the injection site with alcohol to avoid infection and cleanliness

Precise confirmation of intravenous location of administration

Prick the dosing needle (24G)

Connect conduit tubing and secure with tape

40-60 minute drip

Treatment risks and side effects

* Hearing loss, dizziness, tinnitus, renal disorder, hypoglycemia, infection, other (anaphylactic reaction <cold sweat, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dyspnea, decreased blood pressure>, pain at the puncture site, internal bleeding, neuropathy)

7. Completion of treatment

Before you go home, the staff will tell you what to do after treatment. You can go home (return home) from the same day. Considering the effects of medicines and postoperative pain, please refrain from coming to the hospital by car or motorcycle to prevent danger.

If you have any concerns after returning home, please feel free to contact us. Our staff and doctors will get back to you as soon as possible.
