This is Matsuoka. Actually, I had thyroid cancer in 2011.
After the operation, the cancer was completely cured, but in order to recover the physical vitality after the operation, I started stem cell therapy as a patient, and my physical strength returned to the level before the cancer. As a patient, I realized that it was a good treatment, and I began to actively work on it at our hospital. According to the homing theory of stem cells, the damaged cells emit an SOS signal called SDF-1/CXCR4, which is detected and the stem cells go to repair the damaged cells. In other words, it is a treatment that focuses on the weak parts of the body. In the case of adults with no health problems, stem cells are used for tissue repair of unaffected areas that have not yet become symptomatic. In my case, I administered stem cells to treat thyroid hormone imbalance after surgery for thyroid cancer. I have the feeling that the idea has gone back to about 10 years ago. Even now, I experience stem cell therapy as a patient once a year, and pursue the possibilities of stem cells more safely and effectively. In recent years, stem cell exosome therapy, which is said to be as effective as stem cells, is also a treatment method with great potential, so we are also focusing on it. Stem cell therapy makes it possible to maintain the body from an early stage. We cannot easily replace our organs, so we need to make an effort to use them carefully for the rest of our lives.
